Jawaharlal Nehru National College Of Engineering , Savalanga Road , Navule , Shivamogga -577207 Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering (JNNCE) was established in the year 1980 by the National Education Society, a pioneer society in Malnad region founded by freedom fighters of high repute. The College is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and also by Government of Karnataka. INGENIUM

The word "INGENIUM" in Latin means innate character , talent , natural. This word resembles the word " INGENIATOR " which means as "AN ENGINEER" . It also resembles the word "INGENIOUS ONE" . "INGENIUM - Discovering Innovators" is a ' State Level Technical Symposium ' , being organized by " JNNCE , MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, SHIVAMOGGA " on 3rd of April, 2010. It is a platform for young and blooming engineers where they can exhibit their talents and innovative ideas. The ingenious one is going to be awarded.

"KRIYA" means "CREATION".Technology is changing from day 2 day.The things which were new yesterday are outdated today.Its the engineers who are playing major role for creations,innovations.


Here is a platform for those innovators,talented engineers where they can exhibit their innovative ideas through papers.This is the paper presentation competition which will be held on 3rd of April,2010.


This paper presentation competition is purely for students from MECHANICAL ENGINEERING.


The topics for paper presentation are:
1)Design Engineering
2)Thermal Engineering
3)Production Engineering
4)Industrial Engineering and Management
5)Mechatronics,MEMS,Composites,Renewable Energy.

Paper Format:
* Number of Pages: Maximum 9 pages, including figures, tables
   & references.
* Page Size:Letter format (8.5" x 11")
* Format: Double column, single spaced, 10pt font
* Margins: Left, Right, and Bottom: 0.75" (19mm). Top: title 
   page:1" other pages: 0.75".
* Author names and Affiliations: Author names go under the title.
   Author names and affiliations should be included in the 
   footnote located at the bottom-left of the first page. An open
   reviewing process will be used so please include this 
   information on the  paper you submit for review.
* Abstract: It is important that the abstract is meaningful
   description  of your paper.
* Color: Use of color is encouraged, but since readers will usually
   print the papers in black and white, it is the author's
   responsibility to ensure that all figures/plots can be printed and
   understood in black and white.

*Those papers accepted will be informed through mail and they have to send a demand draft(DD) in favour 
   of "Dr.D.S.Ramakrishna,HOD Mechanical

*Entry fee Rs 100/- per paper.
*Maximum of two authors per paper.
*One soft copy of full paper to be mailed to
